Putting On My Dancing Shoes!!!!

We are headed to the NCAAW basketball tournament for the first time ever in Virginia Commonwealth women’s basketball history and also marks the first time ever that both of VCU’s basketball teams have went to the big dance in the same year.. With an overall record of 26-6, an rpi of 32 and strength of schedule of 91, we handed in our resume and ended up with an at large bid in the NCAA women’s tournament. Settling in as a ten seed which isn’t shabby at all, for we didn’t even win our regular season conference or the CAA tournament which slipped right out of our hands, we are leaving for Piscataway, N.J. to take on the seventh-seeded Scarlet Knights of Rutgers University with an overall record of 19-12 on Saturday at 2:00pm. Rutgers is a VERY talented team and has a no nonsense coach in Vivian Stringer but I like our chances, and am glad we were invited. Please look out for us in wish us well!
